Cybersecurity U.S.-Japan Exchange Program for Female Students

In February, seven female students from Nagoya University participated in the "Cybersecurity U.S.-Japan Exchange Program" at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The program, funded by a U.S. Embassy in Japan grant, attracted 70 applicants from diverse academic backgrounds, with top candidates selected for participation.
During the program, students attended workshops, lab visits, and cultural exchanges, as well as toured government agencies handling cybersecurity.
They gained insights into the role of women in U.S. information security and engaged in discussions with local students and faculty.
The initiative aims to boost female leadership in cybersecurity, with participants expected to leverage their knowledge and networks for future career growth.
In May, UNC-Chapel Hill students will visit Nagoya University for a similar training program, further strengthening collaboration.
